CARROT (CARROT)
A carrot is a root vegetable, typically orange in color, though it can also be purple, red, yellow, or white. It has a crunchy texture when fresh and a slightly sweet, earthy taste. Carrots are long and tapered, with a smooth outer skin that can be peeled to reveal a brighter, more vibrant interior. They are commonly eaten raw, cooked, or juiced and are rich in beta-carotene, fiber, and vitamins. The leafy green tops of carrots are also edible and can be used in salads or as a garnish.
