“The Shape Store” is a series of an unusual AI videos created by the Instagram account infinite_archive_, the same artist behind the widely shared Bird Game clips. The videos use a DIY, found footage style and show groups of visitors attending the opening of a fictional attraction built around oversized geometric shapes.
One clip posted on March 1 spread quickly across X and other platforms. The video shows visitors walking through the unusual attraction while reacting to large colorful blocks and installations placed throughout the park.
SHAPE launched on March 2 under the name “The Shape Store,” referencing the videos and their fictional attraction built around simple geometric shapes. Accounts such as Kraken later joined in by posting memes about it.
After launch, X user @vends_ stated he had taken control of the token and redirected all project fees to the original video creator after the artist contacted him.
On March 3, the creator announced a set of physical merchandise called “Shape Boxes.” The post shows boxed items designed around the same colorful shapes seen in the videos, and the release sold out shortly after being posted.
The creator of the Shape Store videos later joined the community built around the token, continuing to share Shape Store content while interacting with people following the project. He has earned more than $74K in creator rewards.
MoonPay later referenced the meme in a post captioned “We’ve been in the Shape Store this whole time.”
Trader Pow has shown support for the project. In a post from March 8, he shared a screenshot from one of the Shape Store clips.
Binance joined in and shared an image from one of the Shape Store video clips.
SHAPE reached an all time high of $4.5M on March 11 as major accounts and companies continued posting Shape Store related clips.
