Bagwork was launched by two creators who announced they would spend at least two weeks pulling real-world stunts to promote their coin.
The campaign began with one of them running onto the field at Dodger Stadium during the seventh inning of a Dodgers vs Rockies game, with Bagwork written on their shirt.
The stunt ended with the pitch invader being arrested. Soon after, one of the creators began posting #FREEDEV on X.
On the second day, the creator went to Zoo Culture - a gym owned by fitness influencer Bradley Martyn - where he grabbed Bradley Martyn’s hat and was slapped in return. The video went viral on X and TikTok.
Streamer Stable Ronaldo later reacted to the gym video, commenting “oh, they’re crypto kids” while watching live.
On September 14, Bagwork passed 20M market cap following a string of livestream moments. Twitch reached out to the creators to bring their stream onto the platform, but they refused, saying it was “pump fun or nothing.”
That same day, one of the devs tattooed both the ticker and pump fun logo on his wrist after Bagwork crossed $20M market cap.
They also flew to Las Vegas on a private jet to attend the Canelo vs Crawford fight, continuing to broadcast their activities.
The project also drew attention from Ansem, who tweeted about Bagwork, calling it “raw.”
As of September 14, Bagwork reached an all-time high of $25.7M market cap, gained over 7,000 holders, and generated more than $140K in Creator Fees within 3 days of launch.
