Pumpcade focuses on prediction markets designed to resolve extremely quickly. Users can create or participate in markets that settle in minutes, using real world or digital data sources such as sports results, esports matches, crypto price movements, flights, livestream outcomes, or public transit delays.
The official Pumpcade account describes the platform as a system for real time speculation with markets that can run as short as one minute.
The project is built by a developer known as Pop Punk, who has been active in crypto since around 2015. He originally started Pumpcade as a livestream puzzle experiment before gradually turning it into a full prediction market platform and eventually leaving his previous job to focus on building it full time.
Pumpcade later received outside recognition when it was announced as the third winner of the Build in Public Hackathon. Pop Punk shared the news and said the project’s unconventional start ended up becoming the best decision he could have made.
Recent updates from the founder showed continued platform activity, including more than 1.35M requests processed in the last 30 days. He also noted that access codes for new users are typically claimed immediately and that an engineering team is being assembled to help scale the system.
On March 24, Pop Punk shared that after six months of building Pumpcade alone, new hires had finally joined him.
Discussion around fast resolution prediction markets has also picked up after Polymarket introduced short term markets that resolve much faster than traditional prediction bets. Pumpcade reposted a chart shared by Frank Chaparro of GSR showing the growth of these markets and added the comment “Pumpcade world order,” placing the platform alongside the growing interest in faster resolving prediction markets.
On April 2, Pumpcade announced it had raised $1M in an oversubscribed round led by Pump fun, with participation from Foundation Capital and Radio Solace to build prediction markets with provable resolutions.
