@Miao_xAI is a developer at xAI working on real-time emotional state modeling, autonomous goal systems, and 3D game integration. His latest project, Mia, is an AI VTuber that can “see” and control its movements in games like Minecraft using platforms like Somnium Space and VRChat.

The coin Mia launched on January 4 but saw little movement until 13 hours later, when Miao confirmed he was receiving creator fees and joined the X community around the coin.

On January 5, Miao livestreamed a Mia test run in Minecraft giving a glimpse into his early vision for Mia. He also stated that he used personal funds to outsource some of the model workload so he could focus more on backend infrastructure and web development.

In a post on January 6, Miao outlined next steps for the project, including using creator fees to give Mia its own VM and support autonomous operation.

On January 10, Miao announced that Mia Holdings Inc had acquired an established hosting provider to support future infrastructure, and released a formal roadmap for 2026 outlining three stages: Core Services, Enterprise Expansion, and Ecosystem Growth.

In a follow-up post after a joint livestream test with XiaoMiaoTV, another AI VTuber, Miao reported new personality developments in Mia and said they were gathering data from the session. He later announced coin holders will be able to request changes and vote on them through community polls on the new Mia Holdings website.

While these updates were happening, @HopiumPapi posted an update of the Mia chart captioned "67."

Miao is set to appear on an @assetdash livestream on January 13 to talk more about the project.
