“Redacted” refers to content that has been deliberately hidden or censored, usually shown as thick black bars or fully blacked out sections. In the context of the Epstein files, the term became a joke because documents were released publicly while most names, details, and images were concealed. The result was information that existed but revealed nothing.
On February 3, Pump fun’s official X account posted a redacted themed image implying an email received from Epstein without showing the recipient.
On December 20, X user @jaubreyYT posted a meme about the Epstein files, questioning why they were released at all when nearly everything was redacted or blacked out.
Another viral post came from a known meme coin trader, @trade_, who shared a completely black image captioned “Another leaked document of the Epstein files.”
@PicturesFoIder, an X page focused on sharing viral media with over 5.7M followers, also posted a redacted themed meme showing a person fully black boxed and censored.
This post from the Redacted account continues posting redacted themed memes to reinforce the same format.
Redacted launched on February 4 and reached an all time high market cap of $1M about 6 hours later.
