OnlyMarms supports a marmot research lab in the Rocky Mountains that lost government funding. The program began in 1962 and has collected more than 60 years of research, which the team says could be at risk without new funding.
Professor Julien Martin launched an OnlyFans account called OnlyMarms to raise money for the research program. The effort was later covered by The New York Times, which featured UCLA ecologist Daniel Blumstein explaining that the page would focus on marmots and remain family friendly. A token followed on July 25, with Martin regularly claiming the Creator Fees to help fund the research.

Professor Dan Blumstein, one of Martin's collaborators, appeared on CBS and ABC News to discuss the research and the project's donations. During the ABC interview, Blumstein said the team had raised about $4,000 through OnlyFans and that the OnlyMarms token was bringing in even more funding.

Shortly after the ABC interview aired, OnlyMarms reached a new all time high market cap of $2.2M, while the project earned more than $24,000 in Creator Fees.
