AI Coach Rudi is based on the red panda AI companion built by xAI for the Grok app. The character exists in two versions. The default Rudi is designed to be friendly and safe for kids, focused on jokes, storytelling, and light conversation. A second version, known as Bad Rudi, uses a completely different tone, with sarcasm, insults, and explicit language.
Elon Musk explained it in simple terms, saying one version is kid-friendly and the other is NSFW and unfiltered.
In one video, a user is smoking while chatting with the character, and Bad Rudi encourages the behavior, telling them to take a hit and saying “light that bitch up gang.”
Another clip from the same person shows them asking Bad Rudi for a “shotgun tutorial.”
Trader Gake asked if there was a Telegram sticker pack for Rudi.
Another mention came from Wrld who compared Rudi to other Grok companions.
AI Coach Rudi was launched on April 13 and recently reached a new all-time high of $1.18M as clips of interactions with Rudi spread on X and drew mentions from known traders.
