Norovirus, also known as the "stomach flu", is a highly contagious virus that causes acute gastroenteritis, or inflammation of the stomach and intestines. It's the primary cause of foodborne illness outbreaks and affects people of all ages. Symptoms: Symptoms usually appear 12–48 hours after exposure and include vomiting, diarrhea, stomach cramps, nausea, and sometimes a low-grade fever.
