JUSTICE FOR KHIMBERLY (KhIMBERLY): 🚨JUSTICE: The parents of 12-year-old Khimberly Zavaleta Chuquipa have filed a lawsuit against LAUSD after the girl allegedly died following a school bullying incident. Her family says Khimberly was attacked after standing up for her sister, who was being bullied, and was struck in the head with a “water bottle” before later suffering a brain injury. Her mother says that at dismissal time a tall boy approached Khimberly in the school hallway and began pushing her. Khimberly reportedly told him, “What’s your problem with me? Let’s go to the principal’s office and talk about it.” According to the family, she had stepped in to protect her sister from being hit when she was struck in the head. The family’s attorney says the district ignored previous bullying reports, calling it a serious breakdown of student safety.
