Kekcoin (Kekcoin): 9 years ago a new coin and L2 protocol was incepted with the sole aim of building a meme economy and fostering meme culture long before it ever existed. The token was called Kekcoin and the protocol was called MemeChain. Kekcoin was a fork of Bitcoin with PoS consensus instead of PoW and 21m total supply. There is a Bitcoin forum post from 2017 outlining the basis of the project, a medium article which was published in 2018 followed by an official whitepaper which was later published in 2019. Since it's unclear whether or not Kekcoin and Memechain were successful projects or not, I have decided to tokenize $Kekcoin as the original and first meme economy on chain.
