Satoshi Hada (HADA): Satoshi Hada is Satoshi Nakamoto. Many names have been on the table for years. Hal Finney, Nick Szabo, Adam Back, Wei Dai and famously of course Dorian Nakamoto. But what if we think outside the box of famous cypherpunks for a moment. What if Satoshi Nakamoto was just… a guy. A theory surfaced a few years ago about an individual named Satoshi Hada. It goes on to suggest that three IBM colleagues, Satoshi Hada, Toshiaki Tanaka and Naohiko Uramoto, colluded to create Bitcoin. The reason this was brought to light is that by combining their three names (Satoshi Tanaka Uramoto) you are left with the exact name Satoshi Nakamoto. In 1998 the Crypto98 Conference was held in Santa Barbara, where Hada presented his paper ‘On the Existence of 3-Round Zero-Knowledge Protocols‘ alongside his co-author Toshiaki Tanaka. Also in attendance, and speaking on the same subject of Zero-Knowlege Proofs, was Hal Finney - the world renowned computer scientist, cypherpunk and the receiver of the first ever Bitcoin transaction of 10 coins directly from Satoshi Nakamoto. Now, what are the chances that these two people, being Finney and Hada, who spoke on the same niche subject at the same conference, didn’t know or speak to each other? I believe they did, and that this is where an early relationship was formed… So, I took all the text from Hada’s blog, and compared it with an email chain between Nakamoto and Finney. What I will add is that there is a lot of data that comes with a full comparison, so feel free to run these tests yourself. I then conducted a fine-grained linguistic and grammatical analysis of the two texts which revealed an overall similarity of 92%. The similarities and ‘coincidences’ (especially regarding timings) don’t end there… Find them for yourselves.
