World’s Oldest Cat (FLOSSIE): The British cat who has maintained the title of ‘World’s Oldest Cat’ since 2022 has just turned 20 years old. Flossie, a gentle brown and black cat, doesn’t seem bothered by her poor sight or deafness. ‘I knew from the start that Flossie was a special cat, but I didn’t imagine I’d share my home with a world-record holder,’ her owner, Vicki Green, who lives in Orpington, outside of London. The Brit adopted the kitty later in Flossie life from UK-based charity Cats Protection, where she ended up after her previous owners died. ‘I’ve always wanted to give older cats a comfortable later life,’ said Vicki. ‘I’m immensely proud that Cats Protection matched me with such an amazing cat.’
