Save Legs Arm and Life (SLALIFE): I remember the day my life changed unexpectedly. I got up from the floor, aware of every painful movement, after a casual blow that left me unconscious for more than twenty minutes. How crazy! In those moments we are capricious; I don't know how I would have reacted if I had known what was about to happen. Since then, my life has been a constant flow of medicines and care. The reality is brutal: I have two fractures in my left femur and I will need surgeries to correct them. In addition, I am also waiting for positive results from the medical analysis that will confirm the need for surgery on my left arm. The estimated cost for these operations is $6400. My family and I face this situation with courage, but we also carry the weight of the world for the cost that this represents.
