Alaa Hatem (ALAAHATEM): My name is Alaa Hatem. I am 30 years old, and I have two daughters, Ghina Mohammed, 5, and Tia Mohammed, 3, from Gaza. As I write this, tears stream down my face. I am begging for help to save my family and myself from a nightmare that seems never to end. We have lost everything—our home, our safety, and my dreams. I lost my professional life, but the war took that away, leaving me unemployed and broken. My future plan is to leave Gaza and pursue a master’s degree. I want to use my education to support my family and improve their lives. I worked hard to graduate and find a job, but now I have lost everything. I just want to escape this war, continue my studies, and rebuild my life so I can help my family escape this nightmare and give them a happy and safe life. Currently, I am crammed into a small shelter in Deir al-Balah with my family, sharing our space with 30 other displaced individuals. We were forced to evacuate for the 17th time by the end of October. Every day is filled with fear, uncertainty, and the constant threat of loss. My mind feels like it's slipping away with every passing moment, haunted by the thought of losing my life without ever achieving my dreams. I've lost everything—my job, my home, and my future. The only thing left to lose is my life, and I'm terrified. I place my hope in your hands, begging for your help to help us escape this tragedy before it's too late.
