Justice for Mina-chan (みなちゃん) Mina (26), a devoted fan of the Korean boy group member Nishimura Riki (Ni-ki), had recently graduated in Japan and was planning to study abroad in South Korea. At the end of July, during ENHYPEN's concert in the United States, Mina asked another member to pass a sunflower-shaped prop to Ni-ki, but the attempt was unsuccessful. Later, Ni-ki went live and made a vague remark that "some fans just want attention and ruin the atmosphere of the concert." Many fans interpreted the comment as referring to Mina and began targeting her. Mina posted a public apology, shared a photo of herself with the idol, and announced that she was leaving the fandom. Shortly afterward, her past employment as a hostess at a bar resurfaced online, accompanied by a wave of malicious comments and harassment. While she was livestreaming, hateful comments continued to flood the chat, causing her severe emotional distress. She ultimately died by suicide during the livestream. Police received a report and responded to her apartment, where they found that she had died. Authorities are currently conducting a detailed investigation into the circumstances and cause of the incident. Why do they treat this girl like that?
