StarFall

In May 2026, FAA issued a Record of Decision approving SpaceX to conduct two prototype reentry test flights for its newly revealed "Starfall" spacecraft in the Pacific Ocean. The primary purpose of Project Starfall is to support the burgeoning commercial in-space manufacturing market—such as microgravity production of pharmaceuticals and semiconductors—and to enable rapid point-to-point terrestrial cargo delivery.
