When I was 9 years old, I lost 2/3 of my pinky finger in an accident. What remained was only a short stump. One third of what used to be there. It changed everything. I stopped doing sports because I didn’t want people looking at my hand. My social life became different. I started hiding it. I chose different paths in work and in life, just so I wouldn’t have to show my hand too much. Because I knew some people would stare. Some would find it ugly. Some would have something to say. That small missing piece affected my whole life. It made me quieter. More careful. More aware of how the world looks at you when something is “not normal.” But that last 1/3 never fully disappeared. It stayed with me. Stubborn. Still there. Years later I decided I was done hiding it. I gave it a name: Mr. Stompy. And I made a coin for it: $PINKY. This is not just a meme. This is the part of me that the world made me hide… now standing in the open. Only 1/3 left. But it’s the part that refused to stay invisible. $PINKY
