My grandmother has always been a beacon of warmth in our family. Her laughter filled the house, and her stories could brighten even the darkest days. But now, she’s quiet, weak, and fragile. A diagnosis came out of nowhere—her organs were failing, and her body couldn’t keep up with the toll it had taken over the years. The doctors said she needed an organ transplant. The words felt like a hammer to my chest. Transplant. The word echoed in my mind, and I struggled to grasp the reality. The chances of finding a match were slim, and time was running out. I watched as she grew more distant, her once-vibrant eyes now clouded with exhaustion. I would sit beside her, holding her hand, hoping that one more day would be enough. That maybe, just maybe, the call would come through. But the days dragged on with no news. Every time the phone rang, my heart would race, only to fall silent when it was just another wrong number. My grandmother’s hope began to fade, and with it, so did mine. We had no choice but to wait and pray, though I knew deep down that time wasn’t on our side. It’s hard to watch someone you love slip away so quietly, and even harder when you realize that, no matter how much you wish, there’s nothing you can do to change it. I'm pleading with anyone with sympathy to please help. any donation will really and greatly help save her live.
