A terrible case of animal cruelty has shaken the tranquil town of Oberneufnach in Allgäu (Bavaria): On Friday evening, a 52-year-old man gained unauthorized access to a horse stable and abused several animals. The suspected perpetrator, who is staying in a refugee shelter in nearby Anhofen, was arrested by the police. He is a Turkish citizen. At around 6:45 p.m., the owner of the affected horse farm was having dinner with her family when her dog suddenly barked. She saw a disturbing scene on the surveillance monitors: a man in the stable, with his pants down, on one of the animals. Her boyfriend immediately ran into the stable, but the perpetrator fled.
