🐕 Who was Hobbes? Hobbes was a Yorkshire Terrier that Elon owned for around 15 years. Musk talked about him on X in 2023: “Had an awesome Yorkie for 15 years who I named Hobbes, because he was nasty, brutish & short.” The joke is a direct reference to Thomas Hobbes, the 17th-century philosopher. Hobbes famously described the natural condition of human life as: “solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short.” Musk basically took that description and applied it to a tiny, aggressive Yorkie. 😂
