EGGTAPE draws inspiration from the conceptual artwork “Comedian” by Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan — a simple banana taped to a wall that sparked global discussion. Its impact came not from the object itself, but from the idea behind it. From gallery floors to the auction house Sotheby's, the work challenged perceptions of value, absurdity, and collective belief. EGGTAPE translates that idea into an eggplant form: ordinary, replaceable, yet full of meaning. The tape becomes validation, the eggplant becomes a medium, and the narrative becomes everything.
