Magic Money was one of the earliest digital cash systems, launched in 1994—even before DigiCash. Created by an anonymous cypherpunk known as Pr0duct Cypher, it allowed users to mint their own digital currencies, operate decentralized banks, and trade freely online. Despite being ahead of its time, Magic Money never gained traction due to its lack of a built-in value system. However, its ideas laid the groundwork for the decentralized digital currencies that came after it.
