MAMBA MAMCAITA SPORT FOUNDATION

In loving memory of Kobe and Gianna “Gigi” Bryant, the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation was built on a simple but powerful belief — that every young athlete, no matter where they come from, deserves a chance to play, grow, and shine. This foundation provides funding and sports programming for underserved athletes to enable participation in school and league sports that enrich their socio-emotional and physical development. Since its founding, the foundation has impacted over 9,800 youths, 472 veterans, and more than 1,000 volunteers — and that number keeps growing with every donation and every person who joins the cause. Through strategic partnerships, the foundation has constructed and refurbished outdoor basketball courts across nine states, giving youth in at-risk neighborhoods safe places to play and build community. Their Skills Academy basketball camps are co-ed — because it was important to both Kobe and Gigi that boys and girls play together , breaking barriers and spreading love through the game they both lived for. The foundation has also distributed sports equipment and awarded scholarships to further educational opportunities for underserved youth. The NBA has long stood behind this mission — because basketball isn’t just a sport, it’s a language of unity, resilience, and hope. When we donate, share, and show up for this cause, we carry Kobe’s Mamba Mentality forward — hard work, dedication, and never giving up — and we carry Gigi’s dream of a world where girls are treated as equals on the court and in life.
