This baby eastern grey kangaroo from New South Wales, Australia, lost his mother too soon and was rescued by wildlife carer Gillian Abbott. When he first arrived, he was weak, frightened, and in need of comfort! To help him feel safe, Gillian gave him a simple teddy bear to hold on to. For Doodlebug, this wasn’t just a toy it became a source of reassurance, something familiar to cling to when the world felt too big.
