OIL BONDS (OILB) is a proposed next-generation digital commodity ecosystem designed to connect the global oil industry with blockchain-based financial infrastructure. The long-term vision of OIL BONDS is to establish a standardized digital representation of verified physical crude-oil reserves. Under the proposed future standard: 1 OIL BONDS = 5,000 barrels of verified crude oil. The project envisions a reserve-based architecture in which qualifying physical oil assets would be subject to legal ownership verification, independent valuation, custody controls, reserve reporting, and applicable regulatory requirements before being represented as asset-backed digital units. The long-term conceptual framework uses a 5-trillion-barrel reserve scenario. At a standardized ratio of 5,000 barrels per token, this would correspond to a theoretical maximum representation of 1 billion OIL BONDS units.
