A story of how I diamond-handed and then paper-handed Dogecoin. It was early 2018. I got introduced to crypto. I was a skeptic at the beginning. I had a Robinhood account with nothing in it and noticed they were offering crypto as well. BTC? So boring, I thought. Then there was Dogecoin. The only reason I bought Dogecoin was… well, it was a cute dog. I made a ginormous purchase of 10 DOGE for $0.04 as my first buy. Then I liked it. I started putting a portion of my salary into it—more and more. I was addicted to buying this cute dog for no reason. I started making memes on r/dogecoin and Twitter. We were losing money, but the vibes were great, and that’s all that mattered. Come mid-2020, I had 4,435,068 DOGE, a number that haunts me to this day. I gave up in May 2020, after HODLing through dark times. I sold all my holdings and never looked back. Well, until Elon showed up. Dogecoin started going up. Did 300x from the prices I sold… just a few months ago. Missed out on more than $3M because I paper-handed. If you’re reading this, I know you’ve been in this situation—maybe not to this extent, but… yeah. Feel free to tell the world about your paper hands in the comments. This is a safe space.
