Despite sharing the same robust blockchain technology for security and operations as standard Bitcoin, Tonal Bitcoin's adoption has remained limited. It predates NameCoin by three months, marking it as the first true altcoin, although its innovation primarily lies in its numerical structuring rather than in altering the underlying Bitcoin protocol.
