Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC) is a collection of NFTs created by Yuga Labs, and is an extension of the popular Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFT collection. MAYC was launched on August 28, 2021, and was primarily a reward for existing BAYC holders, but also aimed to welcome newcomers into the established community. MAYC can include up to 20,000 Mutant Apes, which can only be created by exposing an existing Bored Ape to a vial of Mutant Serum.
