In a small village nestled in the heart of a valley lived a unique character, part-frog, part-shaman, named Pepe Rainbow. Known for his flamboyant outfits and big smiles, Pepe wasn’t just a local figure; he was the soul of every celebration. His greatest dream was to transform his little corner of the world into a place of perpetual festivity, where everyone could express themselves freely and dance under the rainbow. One day, during the grand Festival of Feathers and Colors, Pepe decided to launch a new slogan for his village: “$URUGAY” – a playful nod to the word “Uruguay,” but revamped to capture the festive, exuberant spirit of the place. With his headband of multicolored feathers, earrings decorated with beads and tassels, and a grin wide enough to make a pufferfish jealous, Pepe stood in the middle of the village square and chanted his slogan: “Welcome to $URUGAY, where the party never ends and colors shine for everyone!” The villagers burst into laughter and started joining him, wearing flamboyant costumes and colorful feathers of their own. Soon, the entire village was renamed $URUGAY, attracting visitors from all over the world who came to see for themselves this “dreamy little corner” where everyone was welcomed with a smile, an extravagant costume, and an invitation to dance. And every year, at the Festival of Feathers and Colors, Pepe Rainbow became the unofficial mascot of freedom and joy, always rallying the crowd with a mischievous wink and his cry: “$URUGAY, the village where frogs dance under the rainbow!” Since then, $URUGAY has become much more than a place on a map: it’s a state of mind, a place where everyone can be themselves, in full color.
