Description

Finding meteors on a sky camera used to mean scrubbing hours of night video, pulling frames by hand, labeling them, retraining a model, and starting over when it flagged every star. I built openskycam so Claude could do that part instead. It records a 4K camera pointed at the sky 24/7 and keeps the footage on your own disk. Workflows sample frames, run detection models, link detections into tracks (moving vs. stationary), and sort the hits into buckets: meteors, planes, fixed lights. Everything
