CHENGDU may not have a Disney, but it has "Dissni" park. The term originates from a playful feud between grassroots rapper NOMI and China's most famous rapper, XIEDI. NOMI released a diss track targeting XIEDI, with lyrics like "XIEDI, XIEDI, I'm going to diss you (pronounced 'ni' in Chinese)". This track was recorded in a small park in Chengdu. The humorous combination of the recording location and the dissing lyrics led Chengdu locals to jokingly refer to the park as "Disneyland". This "Dissni" phenomenon quickly became popular across Chinese social media and even gained traction globally. The term "dissni" translates to "dissyou" in English, and its pronunciation resembles "Disney".
