really underpriced for a $XBT token on btc launchpad.
the thesis is simple:
the lore behind $XBT and $BTC is actually pretty interesting.
most people don’t even realize XBT has been an alternative ticker for Bitcoin since the early days.
BTC became the community standard, while XBT emerged from international currency naming conventions.
the reason? currencies and assets without a sovereign issuer can use the “X” prefix, just like gold (XAU).
and since Bitcoin belongs to no country, XBT made perfect sense.
Kraken, BitMEX and even traditional financial terminals have historically used XBT to represent Bitcoin.
that’s over a decade of actual crypto history.
and this is what makes the $XBT meme narrative interesting to me.
no forced lore, no manufactured backstory. the ticker already has genuine historical significance in crypto.
obviously the memecoin isn’t Bitcoin, but the cultural connection is undeniable.
sometimes the strongest narratives are the ones that have been hiding in plain sight for years.
pretty bullish on the lore alone.
