Anne Frank (1929–1945) was a Jewish girl who gained posthumous fame through her diary, which documented her life in hiding from Nazi persecution in Amsterdam. Born in Germany, she moved to the Netherlands in 1933, and from 1942–1944, she hid in a "Secret Annex," writing about her adolescence, fears, and hopes. She died in Bergen-Belsen camp.
