Emir Ali Çakır is a 5-year-old boy who went missing in Sinop (April 2024). After a 10-hour search involving AFAD and Gendarmerie, he was found safely the next morning. The iconic image represents the moment of his discovery: he was found peacefully sleeping in a field, completely unharmed. When found, he calmly told rescuers he had simply gotten tired and decided to take a nap.
