On December 31, 1999, at 11:53PM EST, a brave Internet blogger based in New York asked a simple question. “Why must we hold?” Eight minutes later, an imaginary teddy bear answered his question. That wise, semi-translucent bear said softly and subtly in his hairy ear hole, “ you mustn’t”. January 1st, 2000 was the filthy and waterless birth of the idea that has persisted for over 26 years. One does not simply have to hold for meme greatness.  No way Hose-A. Try Not To Hold is a challenge and rally cry to all who can’t let go.
