Bobby Kertanegara: President Prabowo Subianto's Beloved Cat The name Bobby Kertanegara is widely recognized across Indonesia, especially among animal lovers. This short-haired cat with white, black, and grey markings is the cherished pet of President Prabowo Subianto, and has since become a popular icon within the presidential palace grounds. From Stray to Presidential Resident Bobby's story began as a stray cat that frequently visited Prabowo's residence on Jalan Kertanegara in South Jakarta. Instead of being shooed away, the cat took a liking to the home and was officially adopted by Prabowo around 2017. The surname "Kertanegara" was given to him after the street where his owner lived, marking the place of their first encounter. Since then, Bobby has been cared for with immense affection, receiving regular medical checkups, high-nutrient meals, and specialized facilities that completely transformed his life from his days as a stray. A Luxurious Lifestyle and Growing Popularity Bobby is well known for a lifestyle that frequently captures public attention. Some interesting facts about Bobby include: Custom Stroller: Bobby is often seen traveling in a large, elegantly designed pet stroller. Social Media Presence: Bobby's popularity extends into the digital world. He has an official Instagram account (@bobbykertanegara) managed by Prabowo's team, with hundreds of thousands of followers who enjoy keeping up with his daily routine. New Resident of the State Palace: Following Prabowo Subianto's official inauguration as President of the Republic of Indonesia, Bobby was brought along to live at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta. His presence has even been captured in relaxed moments alongside high-ranking government officials and prominent guests visiting the palace. A Symbol of Animal Compassion Bobby Kertanegara’s presence alongside President Prabowo is often seen as a reflection of the president's affection and deep concern for animal welfare.
