2Z is the utility token of the DoubleZero Protocol. It is used to pay for network access, reward contributors who provide fiber optic links and services, and stake tokens to participate in the network. The protocol uses a Proof of Utility mechanism that distributes rewards based on actual value each link provides, measured using Shapley value calculations that reflect the marginal performance contribution of each node.
