🚨SUGAR STORAGE LINKED TO DEADLY LUNG CANCER GROWTH A new study found that glycogen, the body’s way of storing sugar, may fuel the progression of lung adenocarcinoma, an aggressive lung cancer. In both mice and human tissue, higher glycogen levels were linked to more aggressive tumors and lower survival rates. Mice fed diets high in corn oil and high-fructose corn syrup developed more lung glycogen and worse cancer outcomes. Disabling the enzyme that makes glycogen shrank tumors dramatically. Researchers said it revealed a metabolic vulnerability in lung cancer - and highlighted how diet may influence cancer risk more than previously thought.
