Description
CicadaFarm wants to collect something more valuable than another meme: knowledge that could otherwise be forgotten.
Share something your family knows that we might not know.
Ask your parents, grandparents, relatives or experienced people in your community.
We are looking for:
- Traditional recipes and preserves
- Homemade drinks
- Old methods of storing food
- Beekeeping tricks and observations
- Garden and farming techniques
- Ways to care for animals
- Natural methods used around the farm
- Traditional tools or techniques
- Family recipes passed down through generations
- Anything practical that your family has learned over many years
It doesn't have to be famous or complicated.
Maybe your grandmother knows how to make a preserve we've never heard of.
Maybe your grandfather knows an old trick for keeping bees healthy.
Maybe your family has a way of growing something that nobody has written about online.
Ask them. Write it down. Photograph it. Film it. Share it.
Tell us where the knowledge came from and why your family still uses it.
We want to discover things that aren't in textbooks or YouTube tutorials.
The best discoveries will become part of the CicadaFarm knowledge archive. 🌱🐝🦆
Don't create something just for the contest.
Go find something that already exists but that we don't know yet.
