We need a Degen tradition. We all need to vent. We've had about enough. We're disappointed in you. We want this returning yearly, every December 23rd - this is not aimed at being a "throwaway" holiday token. We want it, no, we NEED it every year. Festivus actually started in the 1960s as a family tradition by Daniel O’Keefe, who wanted a holiday free from religion and commercialism. His son, Dan O’Keefe, later brought it to Seinfeld in 1997, which made it famous. So when we air grievances tonight, we’re keeping alive a tradition that started in a living room decades before it hit prime-time TV. Instead of Christmas trees and presents, it’s got an aluminum pole, no decorations, and a bunch of weird traditions. The big ones are: the Airing of Grievances—where you tell everyone how they’ve disappointed you this year (use our website to make your very own grievance and it'll post it to the guestbook and Twitter - and the Feats of Strength — where someone has to wrestle the head of the household. Our version? We reward members for proving that they've done things on our bounty board. It’s basically a holiday for people who are sick of commercialism. Over time, it escaped TV and became a real thing people celebrate every December 23rd. We’re keeping the tradition alive by airing grievances about Degen culture, scams, and all the idiocracy of 2025 and beyond. This is aimed at becoming a recurring yearly event on Solana.
