How to create a coin on Pump.fun

Pump.fun is a memecoin launchpad on Solana. Anyone can launch a coin in under a minute — there's no liquidity to seed, no presale, and no team allocation. Coins are immediately tradable on a transparent bonding curve, and graduate to PumpSwap once they reach the market-cap threshold.

1. Connect a Solana wallet

Open pump.fun and connect a Solana wallet (Phantom, Solflare, Backpack, or any wallet that supports Solana). You can also sign in with email via Privy — Pump will generate an embedded wallet for you.

2. Click "Create"

Go to the create page (top-right of the sidebar) and fill in:

Name — the full name of your coin (e.g. "Chill House").
Symbol / ticker — short, ALL CAPS, typically 3-6 characters (e.g. "CHILL").
Description — a short blurb that shows on the coin page and in social previews.
Image — square, ideally 512x512 PNG or JPG.
Socials (optional) — links to X, Telegram, or a website associated with the coin.

3. Sign the launch transaction

4. Your coin trades on the bonding curve

Tips for launching

Decide on the brand before you sign. Name, symbol, and image are immutable — they're part of the SPL token metadata.
